THE COVERING WORK

The new agroindustrial center of Verona is inserted in the Market Plan of development of the production sector, and it has a national recognition.

The project, inserted in the big international inner-structure, is the right and new answer, to the need one of the most important commerce centers in North-Italy.

The 4/86 law confirms that new market must be a integrated systems, placed in the center of the most important ways of communication, and supported by modern market specific technologies.

The agroindustrial center of Verona is composed by 8 different buildings, and it's scheduled to a movement of 550.000 ton each year. The construction market area is about 522.000 square metres. The center is divided into:
1. Entrance Building 2. Managing Center 3. Porters Closet 4. Fruit and Vegetable Market	5. Local Production Centre 6. Gerdening Market 7. Mixed Products Market 8. Auctions center and Fridge

The building is composed of 96 spans 12 metres long, and more 24 modules of joints 7,2 metres long. Structural skylights are placed between each span. The linear development of fruit and vegetable site is about 666 metres placed into an area of about 48.300 square metres, in which 27.000 are dedicated for stands area.

Moreover there are lateral cantilever roofs for a covering area of about 26.500 square metres and load covers for a total covering area of about 10.500 square metres.

The building is composed by two important parts: a central gallery and lateral cantilever roofs. The first one has double sloping pitches supported by a trasversal metal structure leant on reinforced concrete columns with 12 metres distance and 7,20 metres in the joints parts.


A structure of reticular beams of 55x35 metres supports the symmetric lateral cantilever roofs made of stainless steel. Two covers, supported by the same structure are forsaw in front of the building. The entire project will be covered by 7/10 thickness, prepainted aluminium RIVERCLACK®55 system.
