6-Step process to installation of walkable roofing systems

A Thoroughly Tested System

Riverclack® set itself apart from the competition thanks to its unique, easy and fast installation procedure; thanks to its snap-fit locking system, the two adjacent metal sheets that make up our exclusive system can be easily fastened together without tools.

Synthesis Between Form and Function

The perfect combination of form and function without functional or aesthetic compromises. The Riverclack® standing seam metal roofing system represents a high-quality exclusive solution for the metal covering of flat, curved and all kinds of complex-shaped structures.

Locking Clips

Our locking clips allow the metal sheets to thermally expand freely, ensuring exceptional wind load resistance along with complete waterproofness. Additionally, the plastic material of our clips serves as an efficient thermal and electrical break between the roofing system and the underlying structure.

No Clip Pre-Positioning

No clip pre-positioning/alignment is required: our clips self-position during installation. Thanks to its fast and easy installation process, Riverclack® ensures time-saving operations for an earlier project completion date. Ease of use and practicality in combination with high-quality materials is what defines us the most.

Resistance and Durability

The Riverclack® standing seam metal roofing system has proved its exceptional resistance against wind load, its watertightness is also unrivaled, making it truly a unique product. From the rigid Siberian winters to the ruthless Saudi sun, Riverclack® can withstand them all, reaffirming its reliability.

No Compromises

When we created Riverclack® - about 30 years ago - our goal was to give our clients the means to achieve their ideal roofing project beyond contraints or preconceived ideas on what can or can't be built. We have always aimed at satisfying the designer's creative vision, unhindered by functional or aesthetic hurdles.

Unbeatable Waterproofness

Drainage Channel

The drainage channel is one of the main features that set our system apart from its existing competitors. Under strong headwind conditions against the roof pitch, bodies of flowing water can build up across the metal roofing surface. Without regular water flow, water levels are bound to rise, causing the profile to be submerged. This is no hindrance for our system, for the drainage channel gathers excess water coming from the side seams, then channels it through the gutter, preventing any water leakage risk into the building underneath.

Vat Test

In our dedicated laboratory, we have subjected our system to a test that would be extremely demanding for any other product. A large vat was employed with Riverclack® 550 as its floor without any sealant or gasket between each sheet. The pool was then filled with 300 mm of water, leaving the Riverclack® sheets completely submerged for 45 days. During this entire time, not a single drop of water has managed to penetrate under the roofing system. This test proved once again the sturdiness and unrelenting efficiency of Riverclack®.

5754 H18 Alloy

Why Settle for Less?

In the roofing industry, where the 3000 series alumium alloys are typically employed, ISCOM has introduced the high-performance 5754-H18 alloy. We have managed to best craft a roofing system that features exceptional inalterability, walkability and hail resistance; it is also thinner (0,7 mm) than other products on the market - which can be up to 1,5 mm thick - while preserving its exceptional performance. The exceptional qualities of the 5754 alloy show incredible potential when applied to the H18 physical state.

Riverclack® Quality

Light and high performing, it is widely employed for aeronautical and automotive applications. Its superb resistance to atmospheric and marine corrosion makes it ideal for particularly aggressive environments, where it shows superior performance as opposed to 3000 series aluminum alloys. In the span of three decades, we have matured experience and expertise to best produce this material, achieving the perfect balance between mechanical performance and ductility, which is essential to the profiling process.

Fully Walkable

The features of the 5754-H18 alloy allow you to walk freely on the Riverclack® roofing system without leaving permanent marks or damaging its surface at all. In this regard, Riverclack® sheets are thoroughly lab tested through the cyclical application of the concentrated load of a foot-sized rubber interface attached to a piston on 0,7 mm thick aluminum sheets, showing incredible heavy load resistance. Under certain conditions, our sheets can sustain up to 400 Kg loads without undergoing any deformation that could compromise their functionality.

Sheet Width Options

Standard Widths

Riverclack® offers three standard sheet width options: Riverclack® 500, Riverclack® 550, and Riverclack® 600, the first two are respectively 500 mm and 550 mm wide and are used for roofing operations, with a pitch ranging from 0,5% to 5%; Riverclack® 600 is 600 mm wide and it is employed for 5% pitch and above roofing.

Custom Widths

We can meet any architectural, functional or budgetary requirement thanks to the technology and expertise whe have developed throughout all these years. We offer customized widths including or without the drainage channel, granting you all the freedom you need for your designs.

Unparalleled Flexibility

Curved and Tapered Sheets

We also give you the option of < 25 m mechanically roll bent sheet radii. Depending on the material (aluminum, copper, zinc-titanium or stainless steel) and its thickness, 3 m convex-shaped and 8 m concave-shaped radii can be achieved.

It’s also feasible to have a combination of concave and convex shapes along with more radii of curvature across the length of a single sheet. The bending process makes it possible to achieve up to 1,5 m convex-shaped radii. Due to the new generation of profiling machines, which can be equipped with a tapering kit, Riverclack® also offers the option of tapered and custom width sheets, which can also be profiled on-site. The minimum width at the end of the sheet amounts to 170 mm while 550 mm is the maximum. Tapered sheets, similarly to straight sheets, are self-cambering and can be mechanically bent.

On-Site Profiling and Roll Bending

If the metal sheet length exceeds the maximum size allowed to be manufactured inside our factories and to be transported, we provide on-site profiling and roll bending, which have proven to be the most efficient solution in the event of large projects requiring a great amount of transportation, which in turn would cause an increase in cost and CO2 emissions.

On-site production isn’t a compromise however, in fact, regardless of the distance from our industrial sites, the Riverclack® standing seam roofing system can be manufactured on-site to the exact same high standards as our main factories: the production units are indeed exactly the same and are all equipped with test benches in order to test, inspect and assess the quality of the profiled sheets. Riverclack® also provides various production methods: from ground-level production to the employment of elevated loading ramps.

Materials

In addition to the 5754-H18 aluminum alloy, Riverclack® can be built with many other materials:

  • 5754 aluminum alloy
When exposed to air, aluminum quickly develops a coating which provides additional protection against corrosion, ensuring an extremely long-lasting roof lifespan. At the H18/19 physical state in which it is employed, it guarantees great mechanical resistance to both cyclic weight caused by walking over its surface as well as hail.
  • Copper
Highly resistant to corrosion. During oxidization, copper develops a coating, of which color ranges from a golden-brown to its unique and aesthetically striking green-blue hue.
  • Stainless steel
A very durable material that maintains its thickness over time. The ideal choice against corrosion, such as in certain industrial environments or when looking for an aesthetically valuable material.
  • Zinc-titanium
Zinc-titanium is rather malleable, therefore, unlike other Riverclack® metals, it is paired to a sturdy support surface to allow walkability.
  • Pre-painted galvanized steel
The combination of galvanized steel and a layer of protective paint, it is synonymous with durability and resistance, it offers superior protection against the atmospheric elements and UV rays.
Finishes

We offer several sheet finish options:

  • Embossing
Embossing is a peculiar process that, in addition to its aesthetic perks, ensures light reflection reduction, an especially important aspect, notably when designing airports and buildings in close proximity to highways or busy roads.
  • Pre-oxidized zinc
Zinc, which is always pre-oxidized, offers exceptional architectural opportunities with its highly modern combinations of bright and dark hues. Its composition ensures great resistance to mechanical damage, protecting the roofing from breakage and premature wear and tear.
  • Copper
Copper is an elegant finish and comes at various oxidation stages. Despite its solidity, it's a relatively light material, as such, it makes installation easier and reduces the amout of load applied on the structure. Furthermore, the coating that develops on the surface acts as natural protection against corrosion, reducing the need for regular cleaning and maintenance.
  • Anodized aluminum
Anodized aluminum provides an aesthetically pleasing opaque finish, along with a layer of protection against the elements. It can be coupled with electrolytic coloring to create a range of UV rays-resistant colors.
Colors

We offer a vast range of colors to be applied on your sheets:

  • TREND range
Range which can be adapted to every environment: pure white (RAL 9010), anthracite grey (RAL 7016) and pale green (6021) to name a few.
  • EXCEL range
The entire RAL range is provided to complement and enhance any aesthetic proposal.
  • FEEL range
Highly practical and convenient alternatives combined with prestigious natural materials.
  • High-rating SRI colors
The Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) means a the heat repelling capabilities of a material. Especially under hot weather conditions, SRI coatings can cool down roof temperature as well as reducing the “heat island” effect, which can lead to earning LEED® credits.
  • METAL range
These pigments reflect their own color or the base layer color. The associated interplay of reflections and refractions generates ever-changing fascinating color variations depending on the angle of view and light.
  • Think ZINC
The oxidizing zinc particles within this finish cause a color change overtime from an initial light grey to a darker, naturally weathered one.
