RIVERCLACK’S BACK TO ROME AIRPORT

December 2015

The works for the covering of Rome Airport Terminal T3 and Boarding Area F are underway. The two buildings, perpendicular to each other, feature smooth, waving shapes. The double curve of Terminal T3 roof with its fluid skylight running along the top of the building and ending with a panoramic glass bubble, find their counterpoint in the slender cover of Boarding Area F, with its skylights shaped as small raindrops on the rooftop.

The roofing of the two buildings will be completed by spring 2016 with 32,600sqm of Riverclack® 550 pre-painted Silver RAL9006, for both the two main buildings, the towers, fingers and connection tunnels.

Working inside the airport, continuing its usual activity notwithstanding the building site, needs a punctual logistic organization in accordance to the restrictions due to the high security level, such as metal-detector controls for the workers or the request of an airport driving license for the drivers.
